Are you looking for that perfect romantic night out to celebrate Valentine's Day? Look no further than Je t'aime: Valentine's hors' doeuvres and desserts right here at Summerset Winery. Join us for a special evening of perfectly paired appetizers, desserts, wines, and cocktails, all prepared by local chef, Mary Jane Miller. What better way to tell that special someone "I love you" than an evening of delicious food, amazing drinks, and extra special live music played by L and N Music, who also happen to be a couple themselves.
Throughout the night you will be treated to three appetizer courses, then three dessert courses, each perfectly paired with a wine or cocktail. As each course is presented, Chef Mary Jane will talk through the flavor notes, pairings, and inspirations.
Food will be served starting at 7:00pm, but be sure to join us at 6:30pm for cocktail hour. Did we mention that each ticket gets a free glass of wine or the specialty cocktail for the evening?

Steak Crostini with Whipped Maytag Blue
Medium rare marinated grass-fed Iowa Beef from Lost Lake Farm sits atop a swipe of whipped Iowa-made Maytag blue cheese with a jam of wild oyster mushrooms on sourdough toast made from 100 year old sourdough starter.
Spanakopita Triangles
A savory mix of Iowa grown Clayton Farms greens and creamy feta cheese folded into crispy feta pastry triangles.
Cucumber with Quark Cheese and Smoked Salmon or Oyster Canapes
Milton Creamery quark cheese on a cucumber slice topped with a briny smoked oyster or a rose of cold smoked salmon with dill and capers and a pickled beet valentine.
Chocolate Chili Mousse
Classic dark chocolate mousse spiked with Iowa grown chilies and perfumed with cinnamon.
Peach Melba Puff Pastry Hearts
Heart shaped cups of all butter puff pastry are filled with a peach mousse made with local white peaches topped with a raspberry.
Chocolate Whoppie Pies with Strawberry Filling
Soft chocolate cookies sandwiched with a strawberry marshmallow buttercream made with local strawberries.
